Hi, I’m Mary.

How It All Started

I graduated from Indiana University in 2015, but IU never really left me. The traditions, the energy, the feeling of walking through campus knowing you were part of something bigger.

When friends started families, I wanted to give them something that connected their kids to the place that shaped them. I went looking for it and realized it didn’t exist. So I made it.

Indiana University A to Z became the first title in Collegiate ABCs, an officially licensed series that brings college traditions into bedtime. Each book captures the landmarks, fight songs and spirit of one school, in playful rhymes little ones love and details alumni recognize right away. Today there are books for schools across the Big Ten, ACC and beyond, and rival editions have become favorite baby shower gifts in mixed-alumni families.

The books are carried in campus bookstores and gift shops nationwide, and a portion of every sale goes back to the featured university.

Then Came Lullavo.

A few years in, my parents came to visit us in Nashville. My nephews fought over who got to be read to at bedtime: silly jokes, character voices, the works. I hated that it would all stop when my parents drove home.

So I made a small sticker that keeps the voice with the book. Peel it inside the cover, record yourself reading, and a child hears you every time they scan it. No app to download and no batteries. I built it for our books first, then made it work with any book on the shelf.

Same idea as the books: a book is a way to hand down a place, a story and a voice.

Meet Lullavo or start with a pack of voice recording stickers.

Lullavo is a Collegiate ABCs brand. Both are made by MFV LLC in Nashville, TN.
