How It All Started

I graduated from Indiana University in 2015, but the truth is, IU never really left me. The traditions, the energy, the feeling of walking through campus knowing you were part of something bigger. That stayed with me long after graduation.

When friends began starting families, I wanted to give them something that felt meaningful. Not just another baby gift, but something that connected their children to the place that shaped them. The campus where they found lifelong friends, discovered their passions, and built the foundation for their future. I went looking for that and realized it didn’t exist.

So I created it.

Indiana University A to Z was the first title in what is now Collegiate ABCs, an officially licensed children’s book series designed to bring college traditions into bedtime routines. Each book captures the landmarks, fight songs, and spirit that make every university unique, written in playful rhymes little ones love and filled with details alumni instantly recognize.

Today, we offer A to Z books for universities across the Big Ten, ACC, and beyond, with new schools added regularly. And they’re not just for your school. In fact, rival editions have become some of our most popular baby shower gifts, especially in mixed-alumni families.

Collegiate ABCs books are now carried in campus bookstores and gift shops nationwide, and a portion of every sale goes back to the featured university to support scholarships and student programs. Because the places that shape us deserve to be invested in, and remembered, for generations to come.

Then Came Lullavo.

The books taught us something. Most Collegiate ABCs storybooks are given, not just bought — wrapped up for a grandchild, a niece, a brand-new fan of the family’s school. And again and again, the giver said some version of the same thing: I wish I could be the one reading it to them.

Lullavo is our answer. It’s a small QR sticker that lives inside a book’s cover. Record yourself reading aloud — from across town or across an ocean — and every time a child scans the page, they hear you, reading just for them. No app to download, no account needed to listen, and the recording is private by default.

It’s the same idea that started Collegiate ABCs: a book is a way to hand a place, a story, and now a voice, from one generation to the next.
