Through our Sponsor a Classroom program, a donor covers five Collegiate ABCs books for your class to share. You request, we list your classroom, someone sponsors it, and we ship directly to your school.
How it works
Five steps from request to bookshelf
STEP 1
Request. Fill out our short form. Tell us your school, grade, class size, and which college book feels right (or let us surprise you).
STEP 2
Watch for our email. We send a confirmation to your school address so you know your request came through and is in the queue.
STEP 3
We verify. Our team checks that your school is eligible. Most requests are reviewed within 2 to 3 business days.
STEP 4
Your classroom gets listed. Once approved, your room appears in the Sponsor a Classroom gallery with your first name, grade, school, and class size. Donors browse and choose a room to sponsor in full.
STEP 5
Someone sponsors your class. You get an email the moment it happens, and we ship every book directly to your school. No cost, no hassle.
Your privacy
Your personal information stays with us
Donors only ever see your first name, grade level, school name, city and state, class size, and the one-sentence story you share. Your full name, email address, and school shipping address are never displayed publicly or shared with donors. We handle fulfillment directly, receive your school’s address privately, and ship to you. The donor never sees it.
Frequently asked questions
Who can request?
Any classroom teacher at a U.S. public or eligible private school. We ship to school addresses only, not home addresses or P.O. boxes. Librarians, reading specialists, and instructional coaches with a defined group of students are welcome too.
Is there any cost to me?
None. Zero. The donor covers the full cost of the set. You request, you wait, and when a sponsor chooses your class, books arrive at your school.
How many books will my class receive?
Five, for your class to share. The set is meant to live in your room, for read-alouds, small reading groups, and centers, rather than one copy per child to take home. We tell you the class size on your listing so sponsors know how many students the set will reach.
Can my class receive more than five?
Sometimes. If more than one sponsor picks your room, we send another set of five. Keeping every listing at five books and $75 is what lets us reach many more classrooms, so it is the size we start with.
Where do the books ship?
Directly to your school’s main office or the address you specify on the request. We do not ship to home addresses. Please confirm with your office that they’re set up to receive packages on your behalf.
How long after someone sponsors my class?
We typically fulfill and ship within 5 to 10 business days of a sponsorship. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation so you know when to watch for the package.
What if no one sponsors my class?
Your listing stays active. We don’t remove classrooms after a deadline, your room just keeps waiting for the right donor. You can withdraw your request anytime by emailing us.
Can I request a specific college book?
Yes. The request form includes a field for your preferred college or conference. If that title isn’t in our catalog yet, we’ll note it and let you know if it becomes available. You can also choose “Surprise me.”
